Boston College acceptance/eagle ID (school, university, office)

Hi,

I applied for a grad school rolling admission and when I spoke to someone in the admissions office, they gave me my Eagle ID and my email account user name at bc.edu...

Does this mean I am accepted or do all applicants get an eagle ID?

That doesn't sound right. While it's a good sign that the admissions office is issuing you student credentials, there is always a chance that the person made a mistake. You need to have an official acceptance letter that you in turn you need to formally accept. Call the admissions office back if you haven't received an official acceptance letter from the school. Explain that you were issued an id, but you haven't received your letter. Good luck!

Lots of places give you an online account so you can check the status of your pending application. I would absolutely call the admissions office and ask to speak with someone as that's the only way you'll no for sure.

When I applied for grad school at the University of Southern Maine, I was issued an ID# to track the status of my application on-line. Same situation here I bet. You'll know you were admitted when you get that big thick envelope in the mail! Good luck.
