sounds like CA - either people in a given locale have a tendency towards racism and prejudice or they are indifferent -but it's not limited to Boulder.

People want to think that Boulder is some sort of eutopia. It isn't. There's lots of burglaries, sexual assults, a big hard drug problem, a large homeless population. Mostly folks are happy to have all of this swept under the rug, out of sight and pretend that everything is wonderful.

I'm not saying Boulder is an awful place, in fact it's a fairly safe place to live. But, it's not the fairytale land that's it's made out to be.

Yeah like the guy who cam runnig into where I worked at the time and was freaking out because someone stole his truck. We let him call the P.D. and asked him what happened he told us he left it running in the parking lot unattended. So what did he expect we asked.....

His reply? "But, this is Boulder!!"
