From what I've seen of the neighborhood it looks to be far from "rich."

Thank you for your post. I live several miles away, though no neighborhood, rich or poor, should have to live through such sadness and horror.

Where the plane hit is a nice, quaint little area with older homes, huge trees, a few shops, restaurant, coffeshop... It is like stepping back in time. Some of the area around it has huge newer homes. My grandmother's house (she's passed away) was 200 yards from the plane crash. Regardless, I don't know why it matters.

This is tragic, but here's what adds insult to injury:
Regional airlines pay horribly starting out. If that was a young pilot, it's reasonable to assume, that in a profession that should be taken more seriously than it is and demands a lot of responsibility and skill.......
she might have been paid 25k to 30k max.
The F.A, even worse.
That's a shame no one talks about, they should.
That's

Unbelievable. Still...MIRACULOUS that 2 out of the 3 people in that house survived essentially unharmed. Also miraculous is the fact that only ONE house was affected! Still a horrible tragedy that i'm sure will scar that neighborhood for a very long time.

Wow, cant believe this happened.....heard its due to ice build up on the wings. I flew in yesterday around 5pm and the weather was quite bad, very windy. I fly every week to buffalo from baltimore.....kinda scared now. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family...a terrible tragedy.

I know someone who flew into Rochester about the same time and said it was a rough ride (coming from FL)...

What a tragedy but how much worse it could have been if that plane has skipped along that entire street...

I'm thinking the wind and ice had something to do with it as we had both last night and it was such a sudden dive...the pilot was cleared for landing and had said good night to the control tower...

What a swing for NYS in a few weeks...one corner of the state, a Miracle on the Hudson and in the other corner, Tragedy in Clarence

And that 9/11 widow died just as her husband did while heading to celebrate his life ......The hand of Fate can be ruthless...
