Hello,

I'm 24 and I'll get my degree on electronics engineering within the next 2 months. I did a lot of thinking and decided to move out of europe and live abroad for like 2, 3 years. I made some research and decided that probably the best place to live, or at least to experience a great variety of the american life style, would be california. Where exacly inside CA, that I don't know.

I'm asking your help to give me some direction on websites that are known to be good sources for job hunt, if possible on my area of expertise. Any other specific company that have facilities in CA and develops electronic hardware or electronics-oriented software that you could reference would be awesome too.

kinda off topic but if you feel like you know any good site about living in CA tips, life cost, etc would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you a lot,

Pedro Duarte

Big question: Can you get a security clearance?

If yes, then you will have tons of job opportunities for you between LAX (Los Angeles International Airport) and Irvine. Plus in that region are several great places for a single person to live and enjoy the California lifestyle. Same for San Diego area and the Bay area (San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, etc.)

If no, there are still tons of other jobs in the Southern California area, San Diego, and the Bay area too.

Are you digital? analog? If digital, consider Intel and Apple. There are tons of other jobs all over the place in SoCal and NorCal.

California is the engineer's dream for jobs.

hello charles!

thanks a lot for your help. I'm more into digital and microcontroler programing although one cannot get much experience in neither of the areas if you're just out of the college and have never worked on the field yet.

I've decided to search on SoCal. the beach and weather made the choice easier.

I will try to find a list and apply to any company that may be hiring any engineer that had just came out of the college. do you guys now any recruiting agency?
