Facts:

Obama won the counties, that are very heavy non white immigrants. The white population, has been bailing out of these counties and taking their jobs with them as one medium to large company moves from the state every working day. The white people leaving, have been replaced by people of color mostly much poorer with much smaller incomes which is the reason that tax revenue to the state is dropping by double digit numbers each year.

Romney won by big numbers in the majority of the counties that are predominantly white and long time residents. (About 2/3rds of all counties in California.

Blacks and Hispanic are voting 66% to 95% for the Democrat no matter who he is, which in this case was Obama. This is true, not just in this election.

Due to the non white population in the heavily populated counties being non white, the sheer number of votes was Democratic in those counties. Example the population of Los Angeles County is 73% non white.

About 1/3rd of the white population will vote Democratic, but the non white population will vote almost all for the Democrats.

As I said earlier in the thread, California is now permanently in the Democrat Column for president and governor, and control of the legislature.

So no surprise California went for Obama, as it was expected.

So to answer the original question as to whether or not California voters will be the odd balls, that would be a resounding "Yes!" Proof positive that there is nothing new under the sun.

Obama won. He won the popular vote, he won the electoral college. How does this make California the "odd balls"? Seems places like Misery are the odd ones out. Romney and Ryan couldn't even win their home states (well, in Romney's case both his "home" states).

It doesn't matter. There was a poster earlier who mentioned something about the number of counties. Each time their side loses the only thing they can make sense out of are all the pretty colors on the map. It takes two or three of those counties to equal one small blue one. In the case of LA county it would take almost all the red counties.

The predicted Romney landslide by some here did not happen. Obama didn't quite have a landslide but it was very decisive. No gray area there. He only lost two states, two which were ways republican anyway except in 2008 so he really just gave those back. If some of you really have the audacity to be upset, imagine how we felt in 2000.

Threads like this demonstrate something: conservatives have a rather loose relationship with reality.

Which is about as sage a comment as saying liberals always have a mental disorder.

Due to the change in race demographics in the past 30 years, there is no way that California will ever again elect a Republican governor or give their Electoral College delegates to a Republican.

Look at the link below, that proves who is moving from the state. Young white to middle age couples with children, who in the past voted Republican. Only 27% of children including school age children, are White Only by race. Hispanic children number almost twice as many as white children, though the Hispanic population is not quite as many as white only.

This is another proof that white flight from the state, is the young families who are moving with the jobs that are leaving the state one mid to large business operation every working day of the year.

Add the Black and Hispanic vote plus the percentage of the White population vote in California and there is no way that a Democrat can ever win for the foreseable future in California for Governor or President, as I pointed out before the election. Anyone that thought Romney had a chance to win in California, was smoking some of that Emerald Triangle Weed.

The only other states than California that have this same factor going, are Texas and New Mexico as far as the low White population.

Florida, has a similar percentage of Hispanic and Black voters vs. White, which makes it a close race state.

Colorado has about 1/3rd Black Hispanic vote block, and with some white voting for the Democrats, it is a close state, and went Obama.

Hawaii hass very little white population, and is a natural to go Democratic.

Child population by race - Data Across States - KIDS COUNT Data Center

If you look at the voting map for 2012, you will find the entire West Coast, the North East, plus New Mexico
and Colorado.

Obama won due to the Heavy Hispanic influence along with Black vote, plus the highly unionized states.

States like California, he won due to the fact that the big Black Hispanic vote is concentrated in a few counties, so even if the majority of the state votes Republican, the high population centers with lots of Black and Hispanic voters will from now on control the politics in the state for generations if not forever.
