Everyone was told to "go West young man". So going east is backwards. That is about it.

If you live in the west and you keep "going west", you'll eventually end up in New York

I hope Ultra takes a boat or plane, or his arms will get mighty tired. My apoligies for the old joke.

Escaping to the Wild, Wild West is more fun, anyway.

The entire Pacific Rim, from Alaska to Chile, is subject to earthquakes, and the furthur north or south you go, the potential for the greater magnitude quakes. We're talking 8.0+! Not likely to happen in SoCal!

So if I was worried about earthquakes, I certainly wouldn't go to either Oregon or Washington (Seattle had a 7.0 about 10 years ago) or Las Vegas, where, they say, we're capable of a 6.8 here at the max! And even with that, there'd be a lot of destruction!

A few years go, suprise, suprise! There was a 6.4 near Wells, NV, in the NE corner of the state, west of Salt Lake City!

And let's not forget the Madrid fault line in the heart of the Midwest!

In Wells? Could you feel it in Jackpot? I was enquiring about Jackpot earlier in the thread.

Looks like no one really answered that question...

I guess it's true what they say, "Silence is Golden."
