I do like sandwiches. What was the question about thick bread? I haven't run into that one really.

I do know Elvis liked those kinds of sandwiches though.

Ruth4Truth thought a radio station called The Geezerlies would be a grand idea

The Geezerlies:

Now ol' Senno ain't that young
but he is a finding
people think he is old
yet Senno is redacted years old
and young at heart
and is having fun at the soccer park (this was actually written on Saturday)
yet Senno does listen
to oldies tis true
for he finds Elvis, Berry and Lewis
as entertaining as anything current
thus Senno finds that
what they say is not true
the music died not die
on that fateful day
in 1959
when we said goodbye
to Holly, Valens and the Big Bopper
for their memory lives on
and is routinely listened to
by people around the world
such as me and you

I wanted to know if others experienced the same as me. Are the end crust pieces being sliced thicker and thicker than used to be? I am sure my favorite bakery is doing it on purpose because they figured out that lots of people throw the crusts away uneaten. That means they consume less of the weight of bread per package each time and have to buy sooner. If it is only my one baker nothing can be done. Free country. But if other bakeries are involved then I wonder if it is anti-trust conspiratorial. Class action time.

Discrimination against fat Hawaiians only affects a small population. THis bread thing could be huge.

Well, do you have an actual measurement of the old bread?

My Rainbow large seems about the same I think.

But Senno might jump on the bus and buy bread at your baker and join the class action if you get one going. Free bread for life might be a fair settlement.

Be Bop a Be Bop a Bom Bam Boom

The hardest poem I ever did write
was be bop a shubop
it done drive me crazy
trying to rhyme
to be bop a shubop
I don't mean daisy
what are the lines in that there song?
I don't know as I rhyme along
I will head on out to google
cause my internet costs aint frugle
and report back immediately
on the lyrics of be bop a lula
I don't mean lazy
Well since my baby left me...
wait that's the wrong song
it's Gene Vincent singing along
be bop a lula
she's my baby
what a great song.

Mateo requested a poem about driving Mad Max cars after reading the California Tag Team poem. I worked it in somehow, imagine if you please an apocalyptic Stockton in the Mad Max Universe:

Mad Max Mateo:

Mad Max Mateo
done drove his fast car
right down interstate 5
doing 110 and crossing the line
leaving the cars flaming behind
at his side was his friend Elvis (Mateo's rooster)
who was a shaking his pelvis
they came up a struggling land
still known as Stockton
that had taken a stand
and still survived in this depressed land
help had arrived in the guise of Mateo and Elvis
who loaded up relief in the guise of casholer
coming from the Feds and Sacromenter
thus Stockton was saved from utter disaster
and sold Mateo gas at their fine cash register
for those folks in Stockton
stand proud and true
and if anything needs said
they will come after you
now Mateo himself
may seem new agey
amidst crystals galore
but he will argue you
straight to the floor.

Seeing as how I'm way too lazy to check, and got side tracked by a quick round of I don't give a damn about Vi-et-nam which I haven't sung in at least 10 years and I'd like to thank God I still remember all the words... not to mention the attitude....

has anyone posted some CA surf music?

Or should I have been here yesterday?
