It would. The world's 9th (California) and 14th (Mexico) economies combined. Wonder how that factors up? I think that would put us (Californians) somewheres about between France (5th) and Germany (4th). Tough duty to pull. Compared to oh say about Mississippi?

What is 15 million in todays currency? If it were sold back to Mexico Nevada would be flooded with 33 million illegals trying to get out before it looks like TJ.

I think most live in enclaves that cater to Anglos actually. Very American if that's you bag, man.

A lot of 'em are retirees who want to see their Soc. Sec. checks stretch farther. The problem is, in the communities where they choose to live, usually around other expats, they drive the real estate prices up, so it gets more expensive for everyone, themselves included.
