The cities we are looking at are Glendora and the surrounding cities:San Dimas, Covina but we are willing to venture to Pasadena and Whittier. Our main criteria is walk ability we want to walk to the grocery stores, restaurants and shops.
Our budget max $1800($2000,if utilities are included) for a townhouse/small house -2BR and 2BA . I have been calling local agents and the challenges we have a pet and we are empty nester with a daughter in college who lives with us during summer parking availability a must.

I am open to suggestions. I did visit www.walkabilty.com to get a score on neighborhoods. If anyone has any other city that has a trendy and vibrant downtown let me know.

My wife works in Los Angeles and takes public transportation - ideally she can walk to a public transportation .

My in- laws lives in Morning-side retirement home in Fullerton and I work in La Puente. So Whittier sort of close to all three cities.

Thank you in advance.

South Pasadena is worth a look. There's a Gold Line Station there and most amenities are off of Fair Oaks Blvd.
