Harrier would always contact a store manager before setting up outside, and most of them not only were glad to have Harrier outside their doors, but they also signed the petition.

Harrier registered several people to vote, also.

Harrier was often accused of just working for the money, but quite honestly, he could have made more doing something else.

Harrier was motivated by the opportunity to replace Governor Davis.

The recall caught the attention of tourists who no doubt returned to their homes with stories of what us Californians were doing concerning our elected state executive.

There was one man(Harrier thinks that he was from Colorado) who wanted to sign the petition, and Harrier explained that this was only for citizens of California.

Other people would say that they were from out of state when Harrier asked them to sign the petition.

Harrier always thanked them for visiting our state, and wished them an enjoyable visit.

Gray Davis really was a lightning rod.

Harrier is not a fan of Governor Moonbeam, but he also doesn't think that a recall against Governor Brown would be successful.

Why does Harrier speak in 3rd person?

NoMoreSnowForMe would not sign a petition to recall the Moonbeam.

+1 on ^^^^^this.

And Des-Lab knows that the REAL reason Arnold was elected was because he was well known even if unqualified. He got into office for one reason and one reason only: "yeah it'd be cool to have a movie star in the governors mansion in California. Makes sense."

Des-Lab also knows that Tom McClintock (who was Arnolds main opponent in that election) was the far, far superior choice. But he was a Republican and few outside his local district knew who he was so he never stood a chance.

I disagree. I carefully looked at my options - midget, porn star, Greek wife of a successful politician... just kidding. I thought McCllintock was too scary. Too right wing for me. An intelligent, capable man for sure. But, even McClintock didn't come out against the licenses for illegal aliens. Arnold was the only one.

And in defense of Arnold, he's a movie star, sure...BUT, he's also the CEO of a very successful business. His plan made sense. He said we need to run the state like a business, cut the fat, be merciless to balance the budget. And I think he was right. He's a smart cookie. Don't be dissing Arnold...he may be back...

First of all, Ahnold is finished in politics. Remember his little situation with the maid?
Second, Gray Davis got a raw deal because he did NOT schmooze enough. His alliances fell apart before the Schwartzenegger onslaught.

BDG does not acknowledge this alleged illeism. It is but a myth, likely a liberal conspiracy concocted by aging defenders of Gray Davis, intended to confuse the true patriots.

Well, Arnold was really disappointing. Despite his star power and charisma, he wasn't able to herd cats and get the legislators (overall, of any stripe) to really agree on budgets. It's one thing to say what needs to be done, but another to be able to get legislators to follow and agree with you. Looking back, I don't think overall he was an improvement over colorless ol' Grey Davis, and that's saying something.

There is a big myth that if you're successful in business, you can run a government. The big difference is that a chief executive of a political entity doesn't have the power/clout over the rest of the government (namely legislators) that a CEO of a corporation has over its staff and its suppliers. It's basically a different paradigm and set of conditions. Some are successful, a lot aren't. Mike Bloomberg in NYC is probably the big exception - and I think it's because, believe it or not, he listens better than Giulani.

Ya know, I never cared where Clinton got his sex, either. Has nothing to do with an ability to govern.
