I work in Irvine and my bf works in Costa Mesa. We're looking to move close to that area but havnt had much luck finding a place. Looking to rent a 2 bedroom and our rent limit is about 1,100 a month. I don't need cities, I need actual complex names. Any information would be helpful

This post would get more responses in the OC forum.

Renting a 2 bedroom place for 1,100 a month next to Irvine/Costa Mesa is going to be a ridiculously hard search, that's why you haven't had much luck.

Pretty sure you're only going to find something in Santa Ana, or parts of Tustin right next to Santa Ana.

I've rented in Costa Mesa since 2002. *You cannot rent a 2 bedroom for $1,100 a month in either Costa Mesa or Irvine.* Costa Mesa 1 bedrooms start around $1,400 on the low side, and Irvine is comparable, probably a bit higher. If you're willing to downsize, I'd suggest looking for a studio in that price range, but, even then, you're probably going to find something closer to $1,200 for about 400 - 450 sq. ft. Also, Costa Mesa occupancy is really high, so if you do find a studio for $1,100, it will go FAST.

You couldn't rent a 2b in Irvine 15 years ago for $1100 let alone now.
