I don't advocate or want a complete ban on guns, but people like you want no limits.

I've had this discussion on these forums before and been threatened by a couple of the sociopaths here. I reported them and their posts were deleted. When someone threatens another because they have different ideas or beliefs, they are a terrorist, nothing less.

It makes me wonder how many of the gun advocates here will be in the news next.
Having an ar15 and regular magazines isn't having "no limits." You have no idea what you are talking about, you see things in movies and think that is the same as reality.

I would love for you to define what an assualt weapon actually is since you think they are so dangerous. What makes an "assault weapon" more dangerous than other guns?

Propane tanks can do more damage than an "assualt rifle", should they be banned? How about gasoline? Diesel fuel and fertilizer? Ammonia and bleach? All more dangerous than a rifle. A swimming pool is actually 100 times more likely to kill a child than a gun, but you arnt worried about swimming pools now are you?

The world is filled with dangerous things and "assault rifles" are hardly near the top of the list. Hell, they are only used in 1-3% of murders but you get all worked up because they are black and scary.

Yes, that's always the argument. "There are dangerous things everywhere, so do you want to ban everything?" "People have beaten other people to death. Does that mean we should cut off everyone's arms?"

I must have missed the last mass killing where the attacker used a propane tank.

These are extremist arguments that have little to do with reality. Go ahead and do your best to fight new laws. I'll do my best to fight for more restrictions and laws.

These arguments that consistently devolve into a list of all the things that can kill all fail to acknowledge the prime fact that: of all things that can kill, only one is designed for that sole purpose. Guns. If all other things that can kill are banned, we all lose their multifaceted usefulness.

That said, killing with guns is the most efficient way to kill. And, sorry as it may sound, killing does have a purpose in this reality. As a gun owner I would urge advocates to knock off the silly arguments. Stick with the positions that stress the value of the highest and best use.

Bath School disaster - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The difference between guns and all those other items is guns are constitutionally protected and can be used to protect the owner from an attacker. The gun is the one item that equals a 5 foot 110 pound women and a 6 foot 300 pound man.

Still waiting for a definition of an "assault weapon"

Guns are already used millions of times each in year in self defense, much more than being used to commit crimes.

The statistics back up gun ownership, including people with a carry permit being less likely to commit crimes than one without. But the argument against guns is never based on statistics, it is based on emotion. Just like how people get all worked up about "assault weapons" when they are used in less than 3% of murders.

You're the one that brought up all those stupid comparisons.

I swear your masters at the NRA must distribute the talking points to you.

Thanks for being one of the few rational pro - gun people. Yes I agree. Guns have a purpose and are necessary at times.

Not all guns should be banned and they won't be. Anyone that thinks they will is sadly mistaken.

You won't answer my questions. I won't answer yours.

Who's really side stepping?
