all the refineries shut down for maintenance to control supply, my son worked in one and told me all about it..he could predict to a day when they would announce the shutdown just by watching the price at the pump.

I paid $3.10 a gal at the pump today in Yucaipa & i know it will go up. In san Bernardino on del rosa ave a gallon was $3.40 & up. Big oil=GREED !

CNBC had a news spot today from LA. They showed regular gas at $3.75/gal.

Gas in Southern California right now is $3.24/gal, nearly a full dollar more than the national average.

It isn't bad enough that our region was hit the hardest by the Great Recession, or that several key industries have noticeably declined since the 90s, nope. Angelenos can't even enjoy cheap gas like the rest of the country, even with oil selling for peanuts right now.

Can't help but feel like our region is snake-bitten at this point.

Diesel is 20 cents cheaper than gas right now.

But the weather ......... the beaches ........... the mountains ............... the restaurants the huge number if things to go and see and do ............... the well ok it takes gas to drive to all but the first. Then of course is the traffic that takes more gas per mile than .............. well places with fewer people who are not just looking for ......... the weather .................

Thanks for putting things in perspective--the extra dollar for gas it totally worth it. I feel silly for complaining.
