NASCAR Nation! You know you can get spare car parts out there, so it's good for something. As long as you look like the natives, you might get out of there in one piece, and maybe with the correct quarter panel or axle.

Man, that area used to give me the Heebie-jeebies. The walking zombies you'd see all strung out all over the place. I'm all for sprucing up areas that are full of drug houses. It was bound to happen, waterfront real estate is getting harder to come by cheap.

There are parts of East County that aren't THAT bad. In the mountains near Lakeside there are some pretty awesome houses, actually.

Pretty much most of the new development since 2008 had been E County. Besides Mission Valley there hasn't been much building outside of E or N.

Speaking of getting out in one piece, last time I was out there, I was in Lakeside with my ex girlfriend who is white. If eyes had lasers I wouldn't be here typing now let me tell you LOL

I agree. When I first moved to San Diego, I wouldn't go into City Heights on a bet and at that time, I lived in Valencia Park which, while looked nice was gang infested too. Then I moved to Normal Heights and never went south of El Cajon blvd. It's a stark contrast compared to today.

Lots of New development in Chula Vista. I believe it's the fastest growing city in the county now.

After 2000-2006 or so? I haven't been down there in a while but my buddy went belly up in 2008 and the number of places empty and for sale were astonishing. If so, good for it. I'm not looking forward to the traffic though.

Now, do I wait until AFTER I am in the new home port to start ragging about the Bay? Do I start now? Do I tastefully wait six months - or a year? Before I lurk back to ridicule the 8 million I left behind to anguish and pain as I sit in the sun?

What's right?
Sorry, Mutt, but having abandoned the North for the South, you have lost ALL credibility with us Northerners.

PS you are now a water moocher, no matter how you twist and turn to justify yourself, and therefore you are part of the problem. You might as well move on over to Galveston. Good luck traversing the Panama Canal.

PS despite your proclaimed 3 gallon a day water usage, what will happen when The State demands that you reduce your usage by 20% ?????
