I'm pretty sure you probably have made derogatory comments about Alabama before to someone in your life, thus signifying your intense jealousy and desire to live in Alabama.

Well, as usual, you're wrong. The question on the PPP poll was:

Q7 Do you have a favorable or unfavorable opinion of the state of California?

Said nothing at all about the people that "run" California.

Americans love Hawaii, dislike California - Public Policy Polling

It's hilarious that you're so desperate to be right that you're like "no, everyone hates us, here's more proof!! I have more if you need it!!"

What's actually hilarious is how wrong you are over and over again. Anyone with a shred of dignity would just give up by now and move on.

People are cashing out because housing prices are way up. Many Baby boomers have relocated to Arizona /Oregon / and even Washington state. We have talked about relocating to Arizona often. Just have to wait and see. My husband and I were both born and raised in California - giving up the wonderful climate would be difficult but retiring to a state where we can afford to live comfortably is important.

It has become very expensive to live in California and that is the truth. We are being taxed to death. Rent is high and so are housing prices...I feel bad for the young families trying to make ends meet. It affects all walks of life - no matter what color you are. For the people who come here for Welfare - it's a MECCA for them. Oddly enough, many many families would rather be working- having a nice home - nice schools for their kids to attend and less crime.

That is understandable, considering there are states a lot cheaper than CA. Hope you find what you are looking for!

Just curious, but if you already own a home then your current mortgage payment and property taxes (+2%/yr) are fixed. Why do you say that it has become very expensive to live here?

I understand the problems for renters or new home buyers, but I would think that someone in your situation wouldn't really have an issue with living expenses even by staying in CA.

i do not have the time to read this whole thread, but am I the only one who realizes that income and wealth are not the same thing. Say a guy owns a company and he only pays himself a salary of $50K for the year, that does not mean he does not have a huge company with plenty of assets that produce a ton of revenue for the state
