Doesn't look like there is a very big choice in restaurants where your looking.

I know you think Santa Nella is too close, although there is also a Denny's there.

Thanks, Hawk. At this point it'll likely be either Harris Ranch, or Denny's in Kettleman City. We'll see what the group decides @0600 tomorrow.

Yes, Santa Nella is too close. And since we'll be taking 152 to I-5, it's just a little out of our way.

I hope y'all had a wonderful meal.....

We used to drive 152 often from Prunedale, over the Pacheco Pass. We camped & fished. We had a 1978 American Clipper C motor home... We caught Striped Bass & catfish, etc at San Luis reservoir, O'Neill Forebay, Delta/Mendota & California Aqueduct canals, San Joaquin River, CA Delta, Camanche Lake, etc. We had many fun times...

Thanks, and, sounds like good times for you back then.

Our guests were sound asleep and we didn't want to wake them, so we drove past Harris Ranch and Denny's. They woke up just before the Grapevine. Thanks to Des-Lab for pointing out Black Bear Diner. That's where we ate and it was perfect.

Fortunately my car can go far on a tankful and we didn't have to stop for gas, which would've woken them up earlier. I didn't have to gas up until 500 miles after leaving, last night in Oceanside. I love its range and fuel economy!

Awesome! My lady and I ate at our local one just today. Yes, the Black Bear has never disappointed me so I recommend them highly.

Yes, and that one, in Arvin CA looks brand-new. The shops and places there looked brand new. It's a new development, apparently.
