The numbers Wells Fargo is citing come from the BLS.

https://www.bls.gov/eag/eag.CA.htm

Year to year job growth: +2.3%

Unemployment rate, November 2015: 5.9%
November 2016: 5.3%
Year to year change: -.6%

Trump and the GOP will undoubtedly tank the economy with their failed supply-side garbage, but as of right now, California and the US are doing quite all right.

Now show me where they adjust to show job losses/U6 as well?

You see that red line?

I don't think "California has put up a giant “Go Away” sign to small business owners" but more that they have encouraged low income workers to go elsewhere. The whole west coast is doing this. I don't know how this will play out but I sense a lot of low income jobs will move inland. Is this good for WA, OR, and CA? I don't know, I guess we will see.

Well it's more a Go Away sign to the types of business that usually employ min wage workers .
Apparel places like this , fast food places , etc .

Tech startups won't be affected by this since they typically don't employ many min wage workers

That's the ironic thing ,the CA politicians are all championing this as a great thing for min wage workers in CA but if it becomes harder for them to find work they'll have to move out of state like you said.

At the same time middle class families are also leaving for states like Texas where they can afford a decent home with decent schools that isn't in a ghetto area .

It's easy to see even more of a wealth gap in the future in CA.

The wealth gap is already here. Half the threads in this CA forum are threads like "How do people afford to live in SF/OC/LA?"

If you're not a successful entreprenuer, executive level employee, or union worker, you're pretty much ****ed in today's California.

True. But the politicians keep lying . Affordable housing and "good paying jobs" are just around the corner!
Mayor of LA said he's going to fight until EVERYONE can afford to live in L.A
He knows that will never happen but lies anyways.
And liberals eat it up .. LOOK HE CARES!!!

The "everyone" will be the rich as they will be the only ones left. Except of course for the poor they keep in section 8 housing, to serve their needs.

Actually kidding a little, as many jobs that are not done by the rich will be needed. But it will get worse as to the income divide.

Yes as long as the politicians can continue to persuade the rich to pay high and higher taxes .
Using guilt etc .
Taxes are less an issue to the very rich though since they can hire the best accountants and attorneys .

LOL! That's really funny. I almost spewed hot coffee out my nose.
