You're going to have to pick up the slack from the "little extra" that we declined to pay by moving out of the state. Enjoy!
Hmmm. Well, actually the reverse is the case. In case you haven’t noted, all states (and the feds) are constantly increasing their borrowing to cover expenses and infrastructure investments. Which means: each resident is a net loss to maintain and invest in ... (theory being that over time the investments and maintenance will pay dividends ... but which none of us ever see realized in our economies based on perpetual growth).

So bottom line is: by leaving you’ve reduced costs for those of us who remain.

Thanks. ‘Preciate it!

Been living in Ca my entire 58 years traveling up and down the coast of Ca and through states across the Midwest for the past 5 years. California roads and highways compared to other states are a mess. When my wife drives I navigate. Mostly warn her of oncoming potholes. The 405 fwy has dips, bumps, uneven repair jobs. Hit one of those uneven joints at 60 and you know it. Better have good suspension. Ca. is a large state with a very high pop. I don't think the state can keep up with repairs.

I've been on highways and roads in other states that are getting repaired that were in better shape before the repair than some of the Ca. roads after those roads have been repaired.

The roads in Ca. were much better decades ago. People that haven't witnessed this contrast are simply too young and weren't around or driving. That and I no longer have the patience to get on a fwy with bumper to bumper traffic. Traffic congestion is just part of the reason many are leaving the state.

People who have lived here all of their lives have no clue how massively their tax money is being misappropriated. They should try living in a state with no state income tax that has a well maintained infrastructure. That should wake them up to the fact that this state is full of ignorance as to how their money is being wasted and not spent on services that benefits the tax payers nor is being used to maintain the infrastructure.

It makes zero sense to vote to feed more tax money to a broken dysfunctional system that has demonstrated over and over and over that it grossly mishandles money.
