The outgoing governor had something to say about the incoming governor and the challenges he'll face with the majority democrat control. He warns ...
Quote:
Democrats hold all statewide offices and expanded their supermajority in the Legislature after last month’s election, allowing them to approve tax hikes and virtually any law without Republican support.

“I’d say we’re in for contentious times and for too many rules, too many constricting mandates and probably too much spending,” Brown told The Associated Press in an interview Tuesday.

He said Gov.-elect Gavin Newsom may have a hard time keeping fellow Democrats in check because “he’s got to please some of these groups enough of the time to still be viable as a political leader.”

1. That debt didn’t suddenly appear under this outgoing administration.

2. Debt is only meaningful in relation to income - and future potential ...
... California is the world’s 5th leading economy
... with no end visible on the horizon at this time.

3. That pension debt ratio, by the way, is also exactly in the middle of the pack for ratios held by the other 50 states ... none of which have anything close to California’s economic standing.

Aww, mad about the hike in capital gains tax, are ya? I guess it's a good thing that the Feds lowered it way down for you, under...who was it? GW Bush? Be grateful, when the Tax Man giveth. Sooner or later, the Tax Man also taketh away. Overall, cap gains-wise, you're still ahead.

Nearly 70% of the state's projected revenue of about $135 billion next fiscal year is derived from personal income taxes, according to the governor's office.

what happens when democrats run out of other people money? raise even more taxes?

Even Jerry is worried about Ca future. I heard this interview on the radio and he sounded very concerned about the dem super majority here. He said every state needs checks and balances. I heard he doesn't like Newsome at all. If a crazy lib like him is worried we should all be terrified.

Ps he still wants the train
