Default California cities with the highest % of whites, latinos, asians, and blacks

I found some good info from this newspaper article based on data from the Census. It showed the percentage of population for each of the racial groups. All the cities had a population of at least 100,000.

Highest % of whites
1. Roseville
2. Thousand Oaks
3. Simi Valley
4. Huntington Beach
5. Glendale

Highest % of hispanics
1. East Los Angeles
2. Santa Ana
3. Oxnard
4. Pomona
5. Salinas

Highest % of asians
1. Daly City
2. Fremont
3. Irvine
4. Sunnyvale
5. Santa Clara

Highest % of blacks
1. Inglewood
2. Oakland
3. Richmond
4. Vallejo
5. Moreno Valley

The U.S. Census Bureau 2006 estimates show Oakland is:

34.1 percent White
30.3 percent African American
25.9 percent Hispanic or Latino
15.6 percent Asian American
14.6 percent from other races
0.9 percent Native American
0.7 percent Pacific Islander

I'm still looking to determine if Oakland remains at number 2 for highest percentage of African Americans...

The reason I question this is because many of the Neighborhoods I know have gone from predominantly African American to Hispanic/Latino since the 2000 Census...

It will be interesting to see what the 2010 Census Reports on the changing Demographics of California Cities...

Another huge trend in Oakland is the number of whites moving into the Downtown Area. Very fascinating.

What about cities like Compton, Carson, Hayward, View Park-Windsor Hills, Ladera Heights and Pittsburg, among others for the cities with the highest Black percentage?

Sonora and Ripon are mostly Whites. But I doubt they are big enough cities to mention.

That's interesting since no group is really a majority there. But I guess that's nothing new in Cali, ist it?

Default Not Glendale

Glendale sure as heck does not belong on the list of most White. The question is,in what catagory does the huge Armenian population belong? That topic has been discussed on other forums. If you exclude Armemians and other minorities, non Hispanic Whites now are perhaps only 1/3 of Glendales current population.

White. Armenians have always been considered white in CA.

Glendale is only relevant if you count Armenians as White.

Compton is 40% Black but the OP only posted cities with more than 100,000 people and Compton has less than that.

Anyway.
Carson is 25% Black
Hayward is 11% Black

View Park-Windsor Hills( I think is a part of the city of LA) and Ladera Heights and Pittsburg have less than 100,000 people.
