"A true crime thriller we made set in Kevin McCarthy’s district.

The highest homicide rate ✅

The most crime. ✅

The most police executions. ✅

Welcome to Killing County"

New documentary about Bakersfield by Colin Kaepernick. Trailer is in the link above.
Man, people are going off on bako. It's a feeding frenzy. Well, you bako haters have some new material now. Enjoy it.

Watch it on Hulu February 3rd

Edit:
Question for the bako bros. I know homicides went down in 2022. Have there been any other recent improvements?

"Police executions"....

Yeah, no thanks. Not going to watch thinly-veiled political schlock disguised as a documentary. Colin should stick with what he knows.

We sent our son to pipe welding school in Bakersfield after he was done with college.
We rented him a cottage at the north side of town.
I googled “what is fun to do in Bakersfield and the 2nd or 3rd item on the list was “do you like to do meth”.
I kid you not.
He spent 4 months roughing it there and when he came back to Danville he said he never knew that Danville was this nice until he saw how some others had it.
He now does very well in a union leadership position.
Bakersfield worked out fine for us.

He missed the part about the most illegal immigrants. Not really, but still very heavily populated with illegal immigrants.

Most police executions? I wasn't aware that police were being executed by criminals in Bakersfield, but maybe he is right.

“How to shake down the NFL for cash?”.
Well,I know he knows how to shake down the Safeway store in Danville off of Tassajara.
They do things big in the area and I’m sure they paid him well to sign autographs.
We used to be big fans of his and went with the kids and most of their friends to get his autograph.
A bunch of the local kids bought new footballs, jerseys and other gear for him to sign.
There was a bunch of us in line for a couple hours.
I slip in to take a peek at how fast he is signing things to see how much longer this was going to take and I notice that his entourage looked like thugs, I mean they looked straight up like bad guys in suits that I would never want to meet.
To be fair this was years ago and they might have been dressed fashionable for their group but they looked like thugs to me.
Any way after a few minutes he said he was done because he only agreed to be there for 2 hours.
He left my group and the others out there hanging after the kids spent several hundred dollars buying his gear.
Not once did one of his entourage come out and see about the kids playing ball in the line or how much gear of his they had. Among the 150 or so people there ther must have been thousands of dollars of the gear these kids and young adults bought.
He lost a lot of fans that day but at least he got paid .
