So true. The drugs seem to actually be more prevalent at higher rated schools than the lower rated ones. Has a lot to do with affordability (i.e., income areas) and fewer minority students. The areas where there are a lot of minority students, schools seem to be lower rated do to lack of parental involvement and gangs. Suprisingly, here in Los Angeles, gangs seem to be a thing of the past. Im sure they may exist somewhere, but you almost never ever hear of any gang related shooting or gang related activity at any LAUSD high school.
