WTF!!!!!!!!!!!! that is the biggest bunch of BS I've ever read on this forum, hands down. Atascadero is one of the nicest places to live on the central coast. The natural settings of the neighborhoods are one of a kind in this area. What bunk.

HUH! Hmmmmm..... I have lived in SLO County for 26 years and I have to agree that Atascadero is lowest on my list of towns to live in in the county.

The city officials run the city gov't in top secret mode with little regard for the Brown Act or any statutes demanding openness.
There are more Christian fundamentalist right zealots here than anywhere else in the county. (The folks that love to legislate your life and not their own).
Not much meaningful employment.
No real downtown...more of a "strip of businesses built on the frontage road paralleling hwy 101.
Pretty much a bedroom community to the rest of the county.
Atascadero State Hospital for the criminally insane and sexually violent predators....

You will never get any meaningfull answer asking something like that and people that post a town are childish to do so.
