I'm glad my fellow Californians have decided to reward the excellent job or Democratic state legislature is doing by giving the Democrats more power.

Great job guys!

I didn't say it improves our condition now. I was just showing that the economy has not been "in the toilet" for the last 8 years.

I'm interested, Fleet, how you explain the change in the counties that are now Democratic?
Those counties can very easily go back to being Republican counties in 2010 or 2012.

Yeah, because it could be shot down by the courts again.

I've read that over the next several years unemployment rate is going to rise to 10%, I can bust the article out if you want me to.

By the way, wage wise I'm making about as much as I would have leaving college now as I would have in 2000. And I'm in the tech industry. The job growth didn't really swing down to the middle class, which is one reason a lot of people are upset.

And he's a centrist because he voted for dumb things like the FISA bill and he's yammering about how he's going to jump into Iran and Pakistan, he's also against gay marriage. Oh sorry I forgot he's supposed to be a Communist because some ads said so.
As we all know, the biggest reason for the economic slowdown is the mortgage crisis. It did NOT slow down due to Bush's two tax cuts.
And we all know who had the biggest part in Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac (Barney Frank and Chris Dodd).

If you are going to blame the entirety of the mortgage crisis on the left then you are delusional. Everyone had a piece of that pie, and on top of that it occurred under both a Republican run Legislative and Executive branch. And who cares if the economy is "booming" if the middle class and the lower class don't get to reap a majority of those benefits?

Edit: I forgot to add that our economic downfall isn't based entirely on the mortgage crisis. There is a lot of waste with regards to gov't and the gov't has grown way more under this administration than it did under big spender Clinton in the worst way (military spending is at outrageous levels due to the Iraq war).

I didn't say the economic downfall is based entirely on the mortgage crisis.

As for blaming the mortgage crisis on the left, there have been many threads showing that the left was mostly at fault.

Even though Obama did quite well in California [in votes & big $$] the Democratic party only picked up 2 Assembly seats & a few senate seats haven't yet been decided. Dems were planning bigger gains but with gerrymandered districts hardly any gains are realized [& none for Republicans].

I hope that Prop 11 passes so we can break-up "safe seats" for both parties.

Prop 11 did pass:

And I've been wondering... why do you use brackets instead of parenthesis?
(The is the proper way to do it.)
[Not this way!]
