I really dislike these new woke terms. For people that complain about racism the woke crowd sure likes to divide people into many different categories. I hate being called Latinx, or bipoc or marginalezed group etc etc. I have even seen woke people go to the extreme to say interracial relationships are white supremacy.
When I think of BIPOC (Black Indigenous and Persons of Colour) I really wonder what an Indigenous person from a reserve in northern Canada made up mostly of shacks with no drinking water, has in common with a Black kid from a rich élite family in Africa who grew up with servants and whose family sent him to study in Canada and are paying for all his expenses.

BIPOC is just a lazy shorthand for the magnificent BAME-BIPOC.
Just like the made up 2SLGBTQQIA+, which is a purely Canadian invention, making us the laughing stock the World over.

Yeah good point. I mean the term POC by itself is really weird. Why lump all non white people into one group. The answer I got its because they're all oppressed or marginalized groups that suffered colonialism.

I guess that also includes privileged wealthy immigrants that come to school here, LOL. I used to have a south american coworker (that came here as student) that complained that one of the things she missed from back home the most was her "empleada domestica" her maid. She was not used to doing everything herself

What’s the Quebec acronym for BIPOC?

The Government of Canada uses PANDC (personnes autochtones, noires et de couleur) in their French materials, but no one outside of their official webpages uses it.
