List makes no sence, whats the difference between Toronto and Mississauga or Missauga and Oakville? They are all in the general metropolitan area.
Yeah they had toronto, mississauga, oakville, burlington and hamilton. Those are all beside eachother (in that order)
My grandma lives in burlington, and i do think it's nice. They have a great waterfront, and it's pretty affordable and less than an hour from downtown toronto.
Of course, people have different needs. that's why I think this most livable list makes no sense. For me, the existence of a Macy's or Sears is far more important than, say some parks.
I've never seen a Macy's in Canada....am I missing something?

There is a HUGE difference my friend, never mind the 1+ hour commute.
I am from Toronto, and would never seek to live in Mississauga and I'm sure that some people out there would never seek to live in Toronto. Real estate prices vary vastly in these areas.
^ Nelson is a bit too small to be included, the ranking only includes places with a population of 10,000 or more.
