Her litter mate brother probably scratched her when she invaded his space. She has had this for about 2 weeks now. My husband is in a panic over this, as he was when she lost all her belly fur. We moved back up North from South Florida, and her fur grew back in Northern Winters. See?

My problem? She and her brother have not been vaccinated, or seen a Vet, since they were both kittens 8 years ago when adopted from a shelter. We had a 22 year old cat before their adoption, who also had not been to a Vet since his adoption. The Vet Techs would not examine him without his being up to date on his vaccinations. Fortunately, the Vet overheard them and nixed that for the "poor old man".

I am torn. While I don't want my girl to be sick, I also do not want to go through the fight I went through with my "old man" who was older than my own children. All my cats my entire 70 years have been Indoor ONLY cats, lived to be at least teenagers, and never went to Vets or were given all these vaccinations, or other testing.

Just wondering if there is some natural remedy for this. She is just her normal self and it doesn't seem to bother her.

Is it possibly a scab ? or it could be an infection. I'd definitely take both of them to the vet for a good examination. It doesn't matter that they are indoor kitties, doo doo happens.

Is there swelling, pus, or any sign of infection or abcess? If yes, she will need to see a vet and have it looked at and cleaned out.

If it's black specks, it is possibly kitty acne. (ITA with posting a pic, please.) I use Duoxo brand medicated pads that I get from Amazon. They are made for animals but I suggest using sparingly, as they can cause irritation if used too frequently. I suggest starting with once per day and backing off to once every other day.
