Perched on his cat tree at the open window, watching anything that moves outside.
Last night he saw a rabbit on the front lawn and tried to leap through the screen at it. I swear I saw a look of disappointment on his face when he didn't succeed!

It's not good for him to keep all his frustration bottled up inside after a disappointment like that!
Much better to work it all out during a spate of hard play!

One is laying under the hostas waiting for an unsuspecting chipmunk to wander by, I suspect.

The other is nowhere to be seen. In a secret napping spot upstairs, I think.

Probably killing something. He's a barn cat, he won't come in. He sits on the outside window ledge and lets me know when he wants food.

In the last 24 hours one of the two cats has been under a bed, in an overstuffed closet, and on top of her perch she can jump to from the bed to the bookcase to a filing cabinet on to a "ladder" set of boxes on the bureau.

She has also been outside.

The other cat, I don't know where she is much of the time but she unfailingly appears when I pop the tab of a can of food.
