The latest foster kitty is insisting on sitting on the keyboard while I work (or not work, LOL). He's an attention seeker.
Pretty Girl aka Punkin considers the keyboard sounds a call to arms and she'll usually come in here, sit ont he keyboard, then take up enough space that my work here is done. A very good helper!
Cooper just posed for his Fourth of July picture with a miniature flag on the deck. Now he's in and looking for the right napping spot.
Didn't see her but when I asked DH if he'd seen Emma today he said, "No." Then in a little while he said she scooted in the cat door, headed for the dish and went out again.
Must have heard me ask where she was.
It's pretty bad manners to come in and not say, "Hi." Tsk.
All three are enjoying the 4th on our sunny porch. 12-year-old "Muffy" is stretched out on her favorite chair. Her nephew, 6-year-old "Nobby", is twitching his tale and trying to sleep. Then there's the latest addition, 8-week-old (we speculate) "Mittens", who we discovered under our porch. She was easy to tame, and loves Nobby, always snuggling with him and pouncing on his tale (which she's doing now). He rubs against her and purrs. Isn't it odd for a female kitten and a "fixed" tom to be so affectionate to each other?
This isn't the first time one or more feral kittens appeared under our front porch. That's how we found Nobby six years ago.
I don't know what foster kitty is doing right now - probably snoozing upstairs somewhere - but this morning I found him asleep in his litter box. At least it was clean.
Mine is ripping open the bottom of my sofa and stuffing her toys in there
Ours is asleep. She's 9 years old so isn't quite as active as she once was. She was a terror when she was a kitten.
