I'm really envious of these cute stories...I've rarely had that cuddly of a cat! No one hangs out to share a pillow or curl up at my side. Years ago one cat would occasionally camp out on the small of my back if I was sleeping on my stomach.

My current two will sometimes hop on my chest (one at a time) for some petting and head-scratching, but they don't stay. Or they might sit on my lap when I'm on the couch, but again, not for very long.

That said, the other day I was taking a nap (on my back) and one cat curled up on my thighs! Very odd...she'd never done that before. She was asleep and seemed comfortable, so as others have said, I was of course loathe to disturb her ....

Early in the morning one of my cats likes to annoy my constantly until I wake up. He meows and rubs his head on me, wanting to be petted. When I don't give in to him he just lays right on top of me until I wake up..

My large cat sleeps ON my head. Nothing like waking up to the smell of cat butt.

My cats just come in and complain until I wake up and feed them. Often I wake up with a pair of golden eyes staring at me from a foot away.

Sprinkle some catnip on your bedcovers ...

Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and my cat is staring at me.
It is a little bit creepy.

In the winter she burrows under the covers and sleeps under my chin. In the summer she sleeps on a pillow next to me. I suppose I should be grateful that she hasn't kicked me out of the bed entirely.

I had a cat who was terrified of thunder storms, he would hunker down under the covers as close to Mom as he could get, would peek out to see what was going on, guess he figured whatever it was would get me first!

One cat I had about 20 years ago lived down to his name (Chester the Molester)---------that unaltered tomcat decided that my, uh, 'privates' made a dandy pillow. Can someone say waking up with 'balls of fire'?

My cats are so fond of sleeping on me that when I had abdominal surgery I had to sleep under a breakfast in bed tray for about two months .......

Does anyone elses' cat do this?
He's just marking you for pickup by the mothership. Their meat stores are almost empty and need restocking.
