My cats currently are being tortured by the guys installing my new furnace. I don't know how Checkers did it, but he squeezed his portly self under my storage chest, which has a clearance of about 3 inches. He must be as flat as a pancake under there.
They're gonna hate me for a few days, I think. LOL It's bad enough they're confined to one room (and that was a headache!), but now with all this banging going on? I'm so mean ...

Yeah, but they'll love ya come winter time.
But I know what you mean. I had to have part of my roof replaced from storm damage back in '13, and all that pounding and hammering upset all my guys pretty bad. I felt sorry for them, but wasn't much I could do about it. Didn't take long for things to get back to normal though, and they got lots of extra lovins to make up for it.
Our guys absolutely LOVE the Zoom Groom. They have been known to knock the other guy out of the way to get their turn. They come running when they see it come out of the drawer. We always keep a plastic grocery store bag close by for the huge pile of fur these two Ragdolls yield. It amazes me.
We also use the edge of the Zoom Groom to get the fur off the back of the sofa where Langley rests every evening after he has had his lap time cuddles.
Beautiful Langley

From that second photo, we can certainly tell who that chair belongs to.
But I know how that works. I have 3 recliners and a sofa in my living room, and none of them belong to me. There is one recliner that I'm allowed to use in the evenings, if I ask nicely.
Looking for volunteers!!! We had to comb a fur know out of ShadowCat's pantaloons last night. All three parties involved lived to see the morning.
