OMG I couldn't work there. I'd take all my work home with me!

I went in and worked there today!

It was great! I wore my scrubs top with the little kitties all over it

And... let's see, we took samples of blood, tested it. i got to check for worms under a microscope from a dog stool sample. We clipped and trimmed nails, shaved for certain shots. Hmmmm, I got to mix the antibiotics and administer. Weigh in the animals, sit on the floor and play with the cute orange tabby stray that finally woke up from his nap. ...all sorts of fun. All the charts, the computer work, the lab work...
There is so much to learn. It's a little daunting.

The other daunting factor is... I won't know if I got the job or not. They split the day into 3 working interviews, with the 3 top candidates. I was the first. They'll call.

I feel like I just had the greatest day of my life, then got dropped off a cliff, lol. I can't even think about it, or I'll go crazy wondering. I just have to wait. But I wanted to fill you guys in.

Keeping fingers, toes and kitty paws crossed for you!! Best of luck!

I would love to do something like this but am totally not trained. It sounds like you have some qualifications/experience with an animal clinic like this? I haven't keeping up with this thread, so I'm not sure.

Do you ever just want to smack your cat for being annoying? Jasper has been loudly meowing ALL DAY! Stop it!

He is coming very close to being an outside cat, now.

Okay. I am okay. But....don't get a Bengal unless you are deaf.

If this is new behavior, he is trying to tell you something. Perhaps he is sick, watch him closely. Make sure he is peeing normally. If it keeps on, take him to the vet. Excessive meowing can be a sign of hyperthyroid disease or high blood pressure.

No, this is normal for him. That is the issue. He just likes to meow all the time. Loudly.
