John Legend has an EGOT, but he’s adding another title to his resume: PEOPLE’S Sexiest Man Alive!
The multi-hyphenate performer has just been named as the 2019 Sexiest Man Alive. “I was excited, but I was a little scared at the same time because it’s a lot of pressure,” Legend tells PEOPLE. “Everyone’s going to be picking me apart to see if I’m sexy enough to hold this title. I’m following Idris Elba, which is not fair and is not nice to me!”
The sexiest man in the world is a kind of silly exaggeration, no matter who it is.
But aside from his stupid crusade against the song "Baby It's Cold Outside", Legend seems to be a man with character in a field where character is often sorely lacking.
I'm not mad at the decision. He seems to be a man of quality, he's talented, funny, loves his family... a lot of good stuff there!
That being said, there are quite a few men who could have also been chosen, but I am sure they have their reasons for it to be have been John. They go beyond looks
John Legend and sexy doesn't belong in the same sentence. He is probably a nice guy but there are plenty of ordinary, non-celebrity guys that are sexier than he is. I would have picked Jason Momoa, Rob Lowe or Michael Ealy.
