Currently, Google is asking the public to come up with a name for its next major release, codenamed Android N. I was thinking, if you could name future releases, what would be your list?

Here is mine:
N - Nutter Butter
O - Orange Crush
P - Pink Lemonade
Q - (skipped, no sweets that start with Q)
R - Red Velvet Cake
S - Strawberry Milkshake
T - Turtle Pie
U - Upside-Down Cake
V - Vanilla Ice Cream
W - Waffle Cone
X - Xylitol
Y - Yogurt
Z - Zebra Cake

What would be your list?

But it's always something that COULD be a desert. So I think your O and P have no chance.

What about QUICK for Q (as in Nestle)?

A possibility for a sweet that starts with Q just popped into my head, since my grandma from Puerto Rico is visiting. I know this is kind of cheating, but what about Quesito, a popular pastry sold in Puerto Rico?

I think nougat which entered into English language for "sweetmeat of almonds and other nuts," in 1827.

I don't like Nougat. I don't get how that is a front runner. Nougat isn't a desert. It's something Hershey puts in Candy Bars. Have you ever had a big ol' bowl of nougat for desert?

Android N could be named after an Indian sweet (if it wins the poll): Google CEO Sundar Pichai - News18

The word entered the English language in 1827 from the French, and referred to a cake with almonds.

It didn't mean an ingredient initially. Nougats are an ingredient in Reese's Fast Break and Zero Candy bar both made by Hershey.

To be more precise, in the USA it is often an ingredient. It is still a stand alone cake in Europe.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but as of June 30, 2016, Google has confirmed that the name for Android N is Nougat.

I'm still sticking to my list for the rest.
