Where does a person go to buy good meat in this area? We've tried almost all of the grocery chain stores, even a butcher shop in Goose Creek. Not impressed with the selection or quality of the meat. The bacon at the butcher shop was actually tough. The hamburger has no flavor. The steaks are thin and tough. I have yet to find any place that sells USDA Prime.

Where's the beef, people?! Man does not live by seafood alone!

I would try looking at Certified South Carolina and find a local source.

Wow, you must be referring to Burbage in Goose Creek. I've always been happy with the meat at Publix. Also, I wouldn't have a problem bringing the label and receipt back for a refund if I wasn't happy.

For a chain store I always preferred Harriss Teeter.

Mr. K's Pig doesn't get his meat the same place everyone else does, he has better cuts of meat at better prices....

I haven't been happy with the meat offered in our local grocery stores either, although I agree that Harris Teeter is the best of the bunch. I did like the New York Butcher Shop, but the last time I bought from them the meat I brought home was slightly off so I haven't been back. I should have taken it back, but ended up giving it to the dogs instead. To be fair to them, just a few days later I came down with a nasty cold, so it's possible the meat was fine and it was my sense of smell that was off.
Costco seems to have pretty nice cuts, but I don't get over there very often. The Boone Hall Farms store has a butcher inside too, but I haven't purchased from them.
