If it's the same Gilligans that was in Seaside, we were not impressed.. no flavor. Bubba Gumps downtown has great flavor but you pay for it and the servings are miniscule and I don't like plastic baskets and newswrap.. prefer a plate.

It must be all personal.. or maybe just the particular night you visit and the cook's expertise; or one's appetite..? Same as at home, with home-cooking. Always hit or miss.

I don't know about the one at Seaside, I have never been there. We usually go to the one at the Dock in Moncks Corner or the one in Goose Creek.

buddy of mine had the all you can eat at gilligans over labor day weekend. one of the better meals EVER. hush puppies amazing as always. sides were terrific. i live in greenville but always hit up gilligans when i'm in charleston / mt. pleasant.

We really like Gilligan's at the Dock in Moncks Corner, you can sit outside right on the Tail Race Canal, aka Cooper River.

Gilligan's is a chain so my guess is that they are all very similar if not the same.

That's what I'm thinking. It isn't fine dining by any means. I have eaten at the Gilligans at Seaside a few times. It was okay -- not fantastic but good for what it is.
