Plus, downtown Mt.P. puts you much closer to MUSC. Should save everyone in the family some time.

Belle Hall, Grassy Creek, Hobcaw, and Hidden Cove would be your best options, as they are right on top of 526. Longpoint is a little bit more of a trek if you're traveling during high traffic hours since Long Point Road is a 1 lane road down there and people use it as a detour to avoid Highway 17. I grew up an avid figure skater and if your early morning skate schedule is anything like ours, you will most likely miss a lot of the traffic because you'll be headed that way so early. The drive to the Ice Palace is really not too bad. I'd never live in DW, PW, or any of the subdivisions in that direction because I HATE Highway 17 and try to avoid it at all costs.

Watermark/Shellpoint Subdivisions are at the end of 526 but you are on 526 before you can blink.

I live in Hamlin Plantation and my son plays hockey at the Ice Palace. I am only going there twice a week but it's not that bad. 30 minutes tops. If you chose Belle Hall, Grassy Creek, Hobcaw, and Hidden Cove or even Snee Farm you'd probably cut 10-15 minutes off that. Watermark/Shellpoint and even Scott's Creek could work too. Are you working with a realtor yet? If not feel free to contact me directly for more information.

bhauck,

I hate to be a jerk, but as a realtor you need to follow the TOS as you agreed to on City-Data. You can not solicit business on the forum or via direct/private message.

We have a great group of realtors/agents who use this forum and are very helpful to other users. They do so while following the rules.

Just trying to give you a heads up.
