Let's hope they allow me to use my fuel rewards to purchase tickets.

That would be a nice perk!

GoMart was the main sponsor of a WVU game a couple weeks ago. I've never been inside of a GoMart, but the few that I can think of (Southern Mon County, somewhere around Fairmont/Clarksburg, and US-19) are extremely dated on the outside. My guess is they hired someone new in marketing. I was even given a free koozie with GoMart on it, on top of every wall of the stadium being plagued with GoMart advertisements and the announcer promoting GoMart every once in a while.

On the other hand, I think BFS is a very underrated West Virginia-based chain. It is arguably better than Sheetz, although I've found gas to be like a full dollar more per gallon at every BFS I've ever been to.

BFS is a nice WV chain, but they aren't present in Charleston. GoMart is on almost every corner, and most of the stores here are very dated.

Rather than start a new thread, I thought I'd put this information here.

The Dirty Birds and the City Of Charleston announced today that the GoMart Ballpark will be the site for the Mountain East Conference baseball tournament for the next five years. Games will be May 10-14, 2023.

https://wchstv.com/sports/top-sports...inning-in-2023

The Mountain East Conference includes most of the small schools in West Virginia, including UC, State, Glenville, AB, Concord, D&E, Fairmont, Glenville, Wheeling, West Liberty, and a few others.

https://mountaineast.org/

We should get to see some good baseball, and it should be good for Charleston.

As an outsider looking in, I drive through WV multiple times a year. I will stop at Sheetz 100 times out of 100 before a go mart if I'm given the choice.

I've never had a bad experience at Sheetz. I've stopped at a few Sketchy go-marts.

Maybe I'll give BFS a try sometime

I merged a couple of posts into this thread (WV Power) from a thread called Dirty Birds. I'm going to rename the thread so we can use it to also cover events at the ball park.

Baseball fans and/or Marshall fans should know that several home games this year are being played in Charleston. Since the new baseball stadium in Huntington is scheduled to be open for next year's games, this may be out last chance to see Marshall play in Charleston.

March 14 at 6:00PM and March 15 at 1:00PM, against Ohio State
March 17 and 18 at 7:00PM, and the 19th at 1:00PM, against Appy State
April 5 at 6:00PM against WVU
April 6 at 6:00 PM, April 7 at 3:00PM, and April 7 at 1:00PM against Louisiana
May 2 at 6:00PM against Virginia Tech
May 5 at 6:00 PM, May 6 at 3:00PM, and May 7 at 1:00PM, against James Madison

GoMart Ballpark (formerly Power Park) renames one of its beer stands “Brewers Row” to exclusively serve Charleston beers.

https://www.wvfoodguy.com/post/charl...trict-downtown

We are going to be able to drink Charleston beer at baseball games this summer in Charleston.

(The link is the same article linked in the "Restaurants going up" thread, but the news about the ballpark made it a fir for this thread too.)
