A new country music festival has been announced for GoMart Park. Hopefully it’s a big success and provide another annual boost to the local economy!

I think it’s smart they’re doing it in the fall. Most country music festivals happen in the summer, so less competition from elsewhere.

"We've booked all the artists -- they're all done, but we're going to roll them out over the series of a couple of weeks," he said.

Since tickets sales start Friday, you are supposed to buy tickets even though you have no idea who will be performing? Seems like a lame way to do this.

I agree it seems odd and I would be reluctant, but it’s not unheard of. I’ve seen other music festivals that have been established for years do this. I’d love to know the thought process behind it.

I can understand an event that has been established for years. You know whether or not they have a history of putting on a good show at least.

That’s true. I really hope this is a success. It’s a great partnership and concept. Eager to see who the headlining acts will be.

Check out the Christmas lights display at the ballpark this Christmas season. Looks fantastic!

They also have an ice rink and a Ferris wheel
