LOL, OK, so you brought on the rain! I thought it was me planning to get some things done in the yard tonight. Maybe you brought on the 1st & I brought on the 2nd.

LOL, OK the 1st one was aimed for you but got me for good measure. The 2nd one was meant for me, because I couldn't do what I intended to do in the yard, then.
I does snow. It's a rare event. Shorts weather in winter is more common. When it does snow it's utter chaos until it melts later in the day.
Where are you living that you can wear shorts in the winter? I know up in North Charlotte it doesn't get that warm in the winter. Maybe in November or March, but December-February has been cold.
and, it also depends upon your personal definition of "shorts weather". Personally, it has to get over 90 degrees for me to put on shorts...and, we don't have any of those in the winter!!
I love the hot weather its only 59 degrees here and its summer you cannot plan to do anything and its hard to know what to wear during our summers from hour to hour - give me some of that heat over the cold anyday
I do consider things like that. Coming from Jersey it's a cooler climate for the most part compared to NC. The one thing that sucks here though is the humidity. And in this thread I'm learning that it is less humid down there. Which kind of surprises me. But it's a welcomed surprise that's for sure. And it cools down nicely at night too. What would you say the average temp in the summer would be? Does it typically stay above 90?
Heh..less humid MAYBE...it still feels like you are standing in the bowels of hell on any afternoon from June to early September..like I said ..at least up there the heat will come and go, here it stays with you like a bad habit/

I'm with you, I do enjoy the warm weather a LOT more than the cool/cold. Our weather here is more extreme than in the UK, and we have some huge fluctuations in a day. For example, a morning might be 70 degrees (F) and the late afternoon/evening 95 degrees. The temps fluctuate more in the winter time. When I was in Staffordshire, UK one Christmas, the one thing that I noticed was that the temps stayed constant whether it be day/night.
However, the last couple of days have been a little warmer than usual. We have had heat indexes of over 100 degrees (F). this is kind of normal in late July/August and not usually this early in the year. However, like most of the world, we had an extraordinarily severe winter, so, I suppose a severe summer is bound to follow!
