Growing up in southeastern NC, plenty of days/evenings in the lakes and ocean at 90+ degrees. Lol, I guess we didn't know any better but still feels great to me.

He's referring to the 2nd set of linked photos that are clearly dated April 14th.

Edit: my bad, you were showing LKN in the low 70s

I will say the place I wish it was warmer is the ocean temps up here. Just finally topped 70 ...will start going every couple weeks till early September but the temp never truly gets comfortable.

yeah i got that... but it's hard to compare summertime fun when the lake hits 70's in April... but that's still a good thing IMO.

Carolina Beaches are great....never really too hot for the beach with the breeze, etc. I guess it's what one is accustomed to as well, I don't mind 90+ with some humidity because I figure extremely hot days are temporary and it cools down in the evening. Even when AC became widely available in the south my grandparents only used window fans, screen door or just sat outside.

Lol, never quite understood why you couldn't play golf or take a walk in the park early am or 7pm-ish. I just assumed the heat was an excuse to get back home to friends and family.

the cool nights are one of the things I miss about up north... never had AC, just opened windows at night and closed the house up during the day.

The ocean humidity is nasty if you are not used to it.

We DID do the early morning stuff. Ah, who we kidding, I was never happy down there But I was telling a guy today who wants to move south. If you can DO IT. If you don't you will always wonder what if. I may not be in utopia by a long shot (taxes and cost of living is painful) but I am at peace finally. I would not have changed anything I did.

This thread needs a funeral. Good lord, what more can be said? Everyone on god's green earth knows JP hates the weather here, and no matter what any of us say, it's hot as seven hells and everyone is miserable.
