just check them out. There are a lot of section 8 apts around the university. Also there lots of college students, so depends on what age you are. I would drive 10-15 minutes out to a safer place.

Thanks!
But not currently in town, any apartments that you might suggest 10-15 min drive away?

Walden Court. It's a bit older, but tucked behind the Panera Bread and Bloom grocery store off N. Tryon - you could walk. Mostly grad students and some families. Very few problems there and very convenient to everything you need.

My family stayed briefly at Village at Briarfield, off of 49, just before you get in to Harrisburg. You can be at the hospital in about 6 minutes. It was very quiet, and convenient to everything. Good luck!

Ashford Green is nice, newer than Walden Court (but still a bit old) on a par-3 golf course and next door to the grocery store and a number of shops/restaurants. I do know they had some problems with car break ins a couple years back

I don't know anything about Phillips other than that it is much newer.
