Mine is bad. Went from $1500 for 2 houses to almost $4500. Who else got a nasty surprise in the mail yesterday?

2 of my houses each went from $1300 to $2400.

I wouldn't call it a surprise though. I knew it would be like that given incorrect valuations. I haven't even gotten around to challenging them yet.

What I've always wondered is why the system doesn't have any option to split the bill up so that its easier to pay than trying to save up a huge lump sum...

Nothing in the mail yesterday but thanks for the heads up so I can prepare myself to be disgusted (or maybe pleasantly surprised).

Why are people surprised. Didnt you get the estimates and the procedure on how to appeal months ago?

Appeals only help if they change the value.

You're just getting the bills now? I paid mine yesterday. The billing date was August 1st & we get a .5% discount if we pay by August 31. This year they started a 5 month payment plan.
