Hello, California guy here. I'm interested in buying a house in Gastonia to flip or rent out. I see a few on Circle Dr in Sunrise Park that look like they may be bargains. Does anyone know about this area of town? Is it safe? Any idea of how much rent would be for a small 2 or 3 bedroom house?

I live in gastonia and never heard of it. If you want to PM me the address I can look on the GIS and let you know if it's a good area or not. It's relaly not a hot market for flipping unless your in a highly desired area or going for section 8 housing which is in high demand.

Good schools are a good selling point for house flipping. Gastonia isn't really a hot, hot market like Matthews or other areas in Charlotte.

Thanks for the helpful information. I may decide to rent out the place after making repairs, instead of flipping it. Any idea what a 3 bed, 2 bath might rent for in the neighborhood? The address is: 1407 Circle DrGastonia NC 28054

Here's what I found out on the County Tax Info Site - the schools are pretty good. You could probably rent through craigslist to avoid additional costs the area is a little bit old.
The assessment is really low. You might want to have it appraised and inspected before you consider buying it. Good luck.
