For all you who like to ride. Any good trails in the Monroe/Union County area? What are some other good riding spots tha may be a little further out?
Thanks again in advance.

My wife has been looking into this as of late and N.Mecklenburg park seems to have rave reviews. It's in Huntersville.

The Anne Springs Close Greenway in Fort Mill is a popular bike trail but I found it to be a little too rough for me. If you like a lot of ruts, tree roots, steep downhill runs, and a lot of rock you'll be ok, but I didn't care for it.

Talking On yer bike

Yay - so good to know that other people like to get out on their bikes as well.

We are moving to Charlotte at the end of the month and did a little recce on one of our house hunting trips.

There is a fantastic facility out by Mt Holly (Charlotte side) that is purpose built for white water kayaking and they have some purpose built mountain bike trails out there as well. It is brilliant - take some lunch (although there is a cafe) and make a day of it.There is also a great rock climbing wall - you can hire gear if you don't have a harness/shoes.

You could also try the Tarheel Trailblazers - Charlottes 'premier' mountain bike club.

If you would like someone to ride with shoot me an email and we could go for a ride... sometime early May.

For Monroe/Union County, try Cane Creek Park south of Waxhaw:
