I found Michael's to be expensive, even with coupons. I went over to the Rock Hill store to get an estimate for framing three different 12"x12" quilt blocks. I wanted a simple black frame with a creme or white mat. They quoted me $90 for each. I went online and bought 3 frames at the size I want, plus the mats and plexiglass and the three came to $90. Everything fit perfectly, including the plexiglass. The frame came assembled and all I had to do was put the frame, glass and the hanging wire (came with the order) with the quilt block, and voila!

Their website allows you to custom your frame and matting so you could design your collage. I would recommend them highly. Packaging was awesome as well.

I was in michaels the other day and they had a lot of stuff on sale in the framing section. Big selection, too.

I like Hobby Lobby. Lots of frames "pre-made" to chose from (seems they are half off about half the time) that come already with the glass and backing. They'll usually cut a custom mat while you wait and even help assemble it if need be. You can also go the custom route for what seems to be a reasonable price. I have always found the frame shop folks in the university store to be extremely helpful and they do a great job.
