That's what I was thinking! A quick google shows the *daily* pp average in Charlotte is close to 100 gallons! So I think Inorite meant 4 people would use 400 gallons a day, not month.

Dang, now that's a LOT of water!

Not sure where you got 100 gallons per person per month....

According to this:
Water Consumption Calculator

average water consumption could be about 6,000 gallons per person for month...
even most conservative calculations show about 60 gallons per day per person (indoor only), which makes it 1,800 Gal/month per person indoor use only (no lawn).

A gasoline tank trailer holds (EDIT) 8500-9000 gallons, as a reference. A mobile detailer tank is maybe 200 gallons? So they'd need to be filling their tank many many times to hit 9K.

I'm a single guy who, although I don't waste water, I don't go to extreme measures to save it. I average less than 1500 gallons a month. There are numerous months where I don't go over the one 'unit", whatever it is, which is 750 gallons, IIRC.

That chart shows 137 gallons a day for one person, assuming one load of laundry and dishes every day, plus 25 minutes of other water use. Who does that much laundry and and dishes, and runs the water for 25 minuutes?? Even at those exaggerated numbers that's only 4100 gallons a month indoor use. And who waters every day?
