My family and I are going to be moving from Minneapolis to Charlotte for my wife's job transfer. We have twins in 1st grade. We are very excited to be coming to the Tar Heel state!
Neither of us have been to NC, we are trying to figure out where to live. My wife will be working by the airport and I am a teacher/coach so I would look for work in a local high school. We have both lived in a few other states but have never attempted a move with kids/family.
Our main priority is good schools and communities with families that have kids for our kids to play with. Youth sports and activities.
Does anyone have any advice on places we should look to live or stay clear of? We are used to and want suburban or urban living. What can we look forward to in Charlotte? A few people have told us we should look in Ballantyne?
Ballentyne Matthews Indian Trail Probably more in that general area
My son and his wife live in Monroe near Indian Trail and their children go to Porter Ridge Elementary School and play on sports teams. They seem happy with the school and activities.

Thank you for any feedback, Merry Christmas....
Rent in Matthews or Belmont until you find a job, then adjust your location accordingly.
