Clearing out clutter? (disposal, donate, roach)

Today's Oprah show about hoarding reminded me about one of my favorite things in Mecklenburg county: the landfill. If you drive down Johnston road towards Indianland right before you cross the SC border on your left is the county landfill.

As the holidays approach and we need to make room for Christmas, this place is one-stop disposal. There's a Goodwill there so you can donate the good stuff, and drop off all of the extra garbage you accumulate. It's very convenient!

I was very tempted to go to that landfill yesterday since they accept clean concrete for free, but looking at the load in back of the truck with the springs being all stretched out I decided it would be better for me to pay the 22 bucks for nearby North Meck Recycle Center.
