We are attending the game this Friday at 8 PM and just ran across the list of forbidden items, which includes any nontransparent backpacks, cinch bags, purses, etc. I actually have to support a few changes during the game (and was thinking of bringing my laptop to kick off a few items), but this kind of puts a damper on things.

Last time I was at the arena there were no such restrictions that I recall. Does anyone know if this is strictly enforced? I don't want to bring a back which shows my wallet and phone etc. That sounds ridiculous.

Brand new restrictions, they will be enforced and likely a result of what happened at the Boston Marathon.

Not only are laptop bags on the verbotten list but laptops themselves are. Tablets are apparently permitted though. I'm glad you posted this, I am going to the Steelers game and I have no idea how big my wife's purse is so I will have to check.

I imagine that this rule pretty much eliminates the ability to bring a baby to the game, too - which can be a positive or negative depending on your viewpoint.

if you google the NFL restrictions you can see what you can bring. Each person can bring a gallon sized clear bag, a vinyl bag less than 12x12x6 (which the Panthers are going to give to PSL owners once they're no longer on backorder if you believe the letter that came with the tickets), or a clutch bag.

I'm debating making a vinyl messenger bag for the Steelers game. Almost doesn't seem worth it since its the only game I'll be going to this year (which these regulation certainly played in to, but I live with die hard Steeler fans so eh)

Sunnykayak, how do the three posts that blast the OP for wanting to bring in the laptop help him out?

LOL I missed the negative posts about the laptop but wanted to mention again: it's not that I want to bring it: I'm on call for some database development and can't switch with anyone else on that night. Instead of missing the game I thought I could bring it and just kick off the application (really easy and quick process that needs to be done at a specific time). Instead I changed the times and will now do the work once I get back from the game at about midnight. Oh well. :-)
